OVerview

The Australian designed and engineered F6X is the first non Falcon-based vehicle produced by FPV, which extends the FPV brand into new markets and offers customers a unique opportunity in Australian performance motoring.

Powered by a 4.0 litre turbo-charged DOHC 24 valve in-line six, the F6X produces a maximum power of 270kW and 550Nm of torque – figures that are unmatched by any local or imported luxury six-cylinder SUV equivalents.

Matching the increased power is a premium FPV performance brake package, featuring 355x32mm front rotors with Brembo 6 piston calipers and 328x26mm rear rotors with single red piston caliper.

Unique F6X exterior styling cues include a high-tech front mesh grille insert with Molten Metal highlight, as well as a rear spoiler and alloy running boards with a matching body colour surround.

From a safety perspective, the F6X is equipped with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC).  Other safety features include side curtain airbags and dual-stage driver and front passenger airbags, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), 4-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Beltminder technology.

The F6X combines the powerful performance of a turbo charged in-line 6 with luxury sports design cues and outstanding driving dynamics to create the ultimate sports luxury SUV.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

Engine

With an awesome 270kW of power, FPV's new turbo-charged F6X is one of the best performing SUVs on the Australian market. 

Through a unique spring and damper calibration, FPV engineers have re-tuned the ride and handling to produce a firmer sports feel, which further enhances the primary ride control of the vehicle.

To match the higher engine outputs, sportier suspension and bigger brakes, FPV engineers also developed a unique Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) calibration for the F6X.  The result is a DSC system that is not too intrusive during spirited driving, but provides great control during handling manoeuvres.

The F6X's 270kW powerplant is matched to the renowned ZF six-speed automatic transmission and a full-time All-Wheel-Drive system.

As a result, the F6X delivers impressive power and torque figures, without compromising on driveability and fuel efficiency.  This performance SUV boasts fuel consumption figures of 14.9L/100km in automatic guise.

Transmission

The F6X features the ZF 6-speed high-torque automatic transmission with Sequential Sports Shift.  This high-performance automatic gearbox offers the driver the best of both worlds. Its Sequential Sports Shift system allows fast, clean manual gear changes to maximize all the available power for acceleration or quick downshifts.  And when in full auto mode, the adaptive shift system changes characteristics to suit your individual driving style.

STYLING

Unique F6X exterior styling cues include a high-tech front mesh grille insert with Molten Metal highlight, as well as a rear spoiler and alloy running boards with a matching body colour surround.  The exterior design also features Molten Metal accents on the front skid plate, bonnet air scoop, door mirror scalps and rear skid plate.

The vehicle features distinctive F6X 270 badging, and a unique F6X 270 stripe package is available as an optional extra.

The Alpine Silver finish on the18-inch five-spoke alloys is also exclusive to the F6X

The interior is also packed with features including Shadow and Pumice two-tone luxury leather seats with the striking F6X logo embroidered on the adjustable head rests.  The two-tone treatment is continued through to the third row on the optional 7-seat variant.

The instrument cluster features the FPV logo, an engine speed red line and distinctive FPV blue illumination, while FPV scuff plates and alloy pedals add to the list of interior appointments.

To ensure a premium driving experience other features include sports leather steering wheel with cruise control and audio mounted switches, dual zone automatic climate control, 6-way power driver’s seat with 3 position memory and premium audio system.
