Safety

Transit's large power mirrors with wide angle lenses enhance your visibility to give you more confidence when driving and parking.

The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) helps prevent the wheels from locking under severe braking conditions. Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) works in tandem with ABS, and adjusts the brakeforce to the rear axle depending on the loading conditions.

The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) featuring Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) is standard on all Transit models.

Transit's optional front passenger airbag has a capacity of 120 litres and is large enough to help protect both of your front passengers. The passenger airbag is only available as part of the optional Professional Pack that is available on all Transit models. The front passenger airbag is standard on Transit Bus.

For additional protection, Transit Van provides as standard a perimeter anti-theft alarm, engine immobiliser and hood lock. The engine immobiliser helps protect your vehicle with the use of a unique code chip integrated into the key fob. Should a thief attempt to drive the vehicle, it cannot be started without this chip being located in close proximity to the steering column lock. In addition to this, the hood lock helps prevent unauthorised tampering with the engine and control system. Every Transit comes with 2 self-charging keys with remote entry locking buttons.

Transit was the first van in its category to offer optional front side airbags. Front side airbags provide enhanced head impact protection for both driver and front passenger in side impact crashes.

Front side airbags must be specified with optional Professional Pack and single passenger seat.

POWER AND PERFORMANCE

Transit's Duratorq TDCi engines use advanced design and technology to boost performance and efficiency. The 2.4 litre Duratorq TDCi diesel engine produces an impressive 103kW of power, along with 375Nm of torque at 2000rpm.

This tireless Euro IV emissions compliant diesel is available with a six speed manual transmission on rear-wheel-drive models.

Transit's Duratorq TDCi engines use advanced design and technology to boost performance and efficiency. The 2.2 litre Duratorq TDCi diesel engine delivers excellent fuel economy while offering 81kW of power and 285Nm of torque at only 1750rpm.

Euro IV emissions compliant and matched to a five-speed manual transmission on front-wheel-drive models, this engine has been designed to withstand the rigours of working life on the road.

INTERIOR

The Transit is designed specifically to help better manage your day with attention to detail like a tray on the dashboard that provides a useful workspace, a handy carpark pass holder and two 2-litre bottle holders. Combine all this with a more than ample number of storage compartments and it's easy to see why Transit becomes a very functional mobile office.

It can be hot, thirsty work on the road. That's why Transit Van comes with standard 2L bottle holders, air-conditioning, plus a host of other clever storage options that will help make your journey more enjoyable.

Take your office with you, wherever your day takes you. Transit’s glovebox is fitted with rails to take A4 hanging files with ease.

The dash-mounted gear shifter falls naturally to hand and ensures smoother, more relaxed gear shifting. Its car-like design means increased space for the centre passenger and easier access to the cargo area.
